Staff Software Engineer (Mar 2016 – Sept 2018)

In addition to Senior Software Engineer responsibilities below, acted as Scrum Master and led a team of 3-6 engineers in developing new systems and maintaining old ones. Translated Product team requirements into engineering tasks and managed dependencies. Created training materials and mentored new team members. Ran weekly “tech design” meetings to discuss technical issues and design decisions.

Geolink (2017-2018): Led team of 3-6 developers in creating a tool for clients to set up ad campaigns to run on ThinkNear’s service. Set up initial skeleton for the React/Redux frontend and created training materials for new ES6 features. Researched, selected, and created the skeleton for integration testing using the webdriver.io framework, and trained the team on it. Implemented many features across the application. Created development pipelines with Jenkins and Groovy.

Senior Software Engineer (July 2013 – Feb 2016)

Implemented, updated, and tested features across multiple systems using Ruby on Rails, Javascript, PostgreSQL, Java, and multiple AWS services. Features included ad campaign management and pre-sales tools, report generation, and pre-processing data for speedy ad serving. Overhauled the campaign management web tools from basic Rails/HTML to an AngularJS 1.0 single-page application and created a new suite of front-end tests. Expanded on a tool allowing users to get estimates of available ad inventory for given targeting criteria using Ruby on Rails, Sidekiq, PostreSQL, AWS Redshift and S3. Wrote unit and integration tests using RSpec, Capybara, Jasmine, Junit, and Selenium Webdriver. Performed peer code reviews. Interviewed candidates. Performed daily and weekly deployments. Independently created tools that the team use daily.
